"like misfits after midnight..."

Sometimes certain words get stuck in my head. Does this ever happen to you?

It's like having a song in your head, but...instead of a melody or something, it's just...a word. And I'll end up using that word a lot more often in my vocabulary without realizing it. Like, I'm not misusing the word, either. I'm not using it just for the sake of using it. It seems like my opportunities to use the word meaningfully in conversation are just increased.

Words I've had in my head over the past few months include:

Gratuitous
Stasis
idiosyncratic
Synchronicity

I think these are all really good words to use.

Ok...enough being nerdy.

School is finished! I am NOT doing summer school. This just feels too good. I didn't get the position as a research assistant. Oh well. The Lost season finale made me pee my pants in shock. I might be coming to Lindale on May 30. I'm going to see Melinda graduate from SFA on Saturday.
